COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Welcome to Supporti! We’re building a mutually supportive and accountable community of people who are committed to bringing out the best in each other. Because we believe in better, we set high expectations for both our business and our community.

 

We envision Supporti as a place of encouragement and positivity where people make amazing strides towards their goals, together. 

 

This looks like: Individuals supporting each other in their personal growth endeavors. Asking each other questions. Listening. Having empathy. Making each other feel valued and seen.

 

We make sure everyone feels safe and supported by setting guidelines for community behavior. We expect everyone on Supporti to follow these guidelines when using our platform.

 

The purpose of these guidelines are to help you understand:

COMMUNITY PRINCIPLES

Supporti is most effective when everyone in the community is on board with our principles, which are:

 

  • Accountability - What you actually do matters more than what you say you’ll do. At the heart of Supporti is the shared expectation that your actions align with your commitments. That includes the buddy commitment you make when you request a match: to message your buddy every day for the following week.

  • Mutual Moral Support - Success is sweetest when shared. You encourage your partner, they encourage you. Be a source of positivity and ask your partners how you can support them. Let your buddy know what you need, too.

  • Curiosity Before Judgment - Could instead of should. Rather than jumping to conclusions about someone, get to know them first. Be open to learning from a fresh perspective. If you have fixed preferences for your accountability partner’s characteristics (age, religion, etc.), Supporti might not be the best fit for you at this time. If you are willing to keep an open mind, however, we invite you to give it a try.

 

These principles inform our community rules, as follows.

COMMUNITY RULES

These rules help Supporti strive towards an amazing customer experience for everybody.

Show respect. Discrimination and harrassment are not allowed. Supporti does allow you to indicate a partner gender preference for a specific goal, however, we do not allow discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. It is also unacceptable to rate a buddy based on these traits.

 

No ghosting.Ghosting” is the act of cutting off communication without notice or explanation. Supporti is as much about getting support as it is about giving support. That means if you stop messaging your partner, you’re hurting them and yourself. That’s why before requesting a partner, we have every user commit to messaging their partner daily. We reserve the right to end a session and find your partner a new buddy if you do not message daily.

 

Keep it safe. Do not use imagery or messages that could be considered offensive or profane. Do not threaten or harm anyone or yourself. We do not recommend sharing your personal information (phone number, email address, etc.) through Supporti.

 

No selling. Supporti is not a platform for you to market your services to other community members, so please don’t do that.

 

Failure to abide by Supporti’s Terms of Use or these guidelines can result in permanent deactivation from the Supporti platform. 

HOW TO REPORT

When you subscribe to Supporti, you get access to our customer support services to help you if you encounter any incidents. 

 

What to do to if you can’t complete your current session:

 

We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances come up that prevent you from supporting your buddy. We (and your partner) appreciate if you let us know as soon as you realize you can’t commit, so that we can rematch your partner. Simply message us at help@getsupporti.com or through the app’s Help feature to let us know and we’ll be in touch.

 

What to do if your partner stops responding:

 

First, try messaging your partner one more time in case they missed your previous message. If it has been over 24 hours since they replied, then use the side menu (top left) and select “Unresponsive Buddy.” This will notify our staff who will then try to re-engage your buddy or end your session early so that you can be rematched.

 

What to do if your partner has made you uncomfortable:

 

Message us at help@getsupporti.com or through the app’s Help feature to notify us of the situation. We will look into the issue and may reach out to you with follow up questions or instructions. If we confirm the inappropriate behavior, we will end your session early so that you can be request a new partner.

 

If your account has been flagged:

 

The Supporti Team will assess the situation. If it is determined that there has been a violation of Terms, we may notify you and issue a warning. We reserve the right to suspend or deactivate your account at our discretion.
